BREAKING: Transition At INEC As Yakubu Hands Over To May Agbamuche

There has been a leadership transition at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as Professor Mahmood Yakubu handed over his duties to Mrs. May Agbamuche, who will now serve as the Acting National Chairman.

The announcement took place on Tuesday at INEC headquarters in Abuja during an internal meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners.

Yakubu thanked the staff of the commission for their dedication and urged them to support Agbamuche as she assumes leadership until a new chairman is appointed.

May Agbamuche, the oldest serving National Commissioner, is taking over at a crucial time for the commission as it continues to implement electoral reforms and prepare for upcoming national elections.

The change in leadership ensures that administrative and electoral processes remain uninterrupted.
