Former Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate, Flora, has urged Nigerians not to expect her to live an extravagant celebrity lifestyle simply because she participated in the reality television show.
Flora, who said she was still relatively new to Lagos, disclosed that she did not own a car or a house and would not pretend to be wealthy to meet public expectations.
According to Naija News, the reality TV star expressed concern that people might take pictures of her in public and share them online to suggest that she was struggling financially.
She appealed to Nigerians not to judge her circumstances based on her appearance or celebrity status.
Flora maintained that she had remained authentic throughout her time in the Big Brother Naija house and intended to maintain the same attitude in her everyday life.
Speaking in Pidgin English, she said: “I no follow una do celebrity life o. I no wan hear say I dey waka one day for road with my black trouser, una con snap me say this girl dey suffer.
“I take God beg una o, I no get motor, I no get house, I no follow una live big girl life. I no do big girl for Big Brother house, na so I dey real life.”
The former housemate’s remarks highlight her position that appearing on a reality television programme does not automatically translate into wealth or an extravagant lifestyle.
