BREAKING: Presidency Announces Dismissal of Fegho Umunubo from Tinubu’s Team

In a swift move on Monday, the Presidency confirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has terminated the appointment of his Special Assistant on Digital and Creative Economy, Fegho John Umunubo.

The announcement, which was issued through the office of Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information and Public Relations at the State House, stated that the disengagement takes effect immediately.

According to the notice, Umunubo no longer represents the government in any official capacity. The Presidency also issued a stern warning to stakeholders and members of the public not to engage him under the guise of working for the administration.

“Anyone who interfaces with him in the name of President Tinubu’s administration does so at his or her own risk,” the official statement read.

This action signals President Tinubu’s determination to maintain discipline and order among his appointees, particularly within the digital and creative economy sector, which his government has described as a vital contributor to national development.

Observers believe the move is part of a broader restructuring strategy within the Presidency, as the administration continues to adjust its appointments for efficiency.

The creative and technology communities in Nigeria and abroad have been advised to take note of this decision.
